Chaconia
Designed by
Nanna Ditzel
1962
The Chaconia Chair was designed by Nanna Ditzel in 1962 and presented at the Cabinetmakers' Guild exhibition in Copenhagen the same year, but it was never put into production. To celebrate Nanna Ditzel's centenary, Fredericia Furniture produced an edition of 100 lounge chairs, each with a brass plate with an engraved production number and Nanna Ditzel's signature. The chairs are made of Oregon pine and the lacquer finish on the wooden frame is specially developed to match Ditzel's original work from 1962. The chairs are upholstered in Ditzel's textile design, Hallingdal 65, in a light mélange that creates an elegant golden look.
