Trinidad

Designed by

Nanna Ditzel

1993

When designing the Trinidad Chair, Nanna Ditzel found inspiration in the fretwork of the façades she had seen in colonial architecture in Trinidad. The lightness of the chair is emphasised by the carved grooves that create an interaction of light and shadow in the room, giving the chair a sense of movement. The grooves in the chair also ventilate the body, which, together with the embracing seat shells, makes the Trinidad chair extremely comfortable.
