Chill
Designed by
Nanna Ditzel
1961
The beautiful Chill lounge chair and footstool was designed in late summer 1961. It was the first piece of furniture Nanna Ditzel created after her husband's death earlier that year. Chill is an almost sculptural installation that elegantly becomes part of its surroundings. The chair and footstool have an organic design that invites pure relaxation. The chair's original name was the Fireplace Chair and was used in Nanna Ditzel's private summer house for more than 40 years. It was originally created in collaboration with Robert Wengler, who was the pioneer of rattan production in Denmark. Originally designed for indoor use, the chair is now also available in an outdoor version.
