Hanging Egg Chair

In 1959, Nanna and Jørgen Ditzel designed the wicker chair known today as the Hanging Egg Chair - a refined and humorous statement. During the 1950s, the couple experimented with breaking conventions to develop alternative seating that utilized the third dimension, creating a natural space for the body. "By suspending an egg-shaped curved shell from a chain, they realized the chair as a coherent and floating form.
