The jewellery in the Crates series is characterized by a distinctive grid pattern, in which both the grid and the spaces between it are of great importance. Nanna was fascinated by the fretwork of Caribbean architecture and the shadow effects it creates. The same inspiration led to the creation of the Trinidad Chair.
