The Axe Bracelet

This was one of the very first pieces of jewellery Nanna and Jørgen Ditzel designed for Georg Jensen. It was nicknamed The Axe by blacksmiths because it widens towards the closure and forms a tall, slightly sharp shape with a slit reminiscent of an axe head.
It is a sculptural, hollow silver bracelet, and along with many other pieces of jewellery made by Nanna and Jørgen, it shows a clear fascination with the art of sculpture.
